BAGA BEACH

Baga Beach has something for everyone. Name a thing you want, you get it here. Baga Beach has the best spot for enjoying saltwater bath because of its high waves and even landed beaches. It houses great food and beach snacking opportunities. Late night parties, Loud music, Karaoke; night is alive every single day in Baga. There are parties which are organized every night; those can help you in loosening up a bit for some time from your hard fixed schedule. The beach is sometimes also referred as ‘Mini Russia’. This is because of the settlement of a large number of Russian immigrants in this beach. It is a silent place where you can chill and have a great time, sharing your space with some of the most endangered species of wildlife. It is a nesting ground for Olive Ridley Turtles. The Olives lay an egg on this beach in their breeding seasons. Large varieties of rare bird species can also be found here. Some of the species those are spotted here are Cuckoo, Sand Plover, sand Piper, and Kingfishers. Due to its rich wildlife, activities such as late-night Parties and Loud Music is banned here. If you are into partying, then Uh Huh! This place is not good for you. Things like Serenity, Relaxation, Alternative Therapies and sports such as Kite Surfing are the favorite of the people who visit this place.

~How to reach – Morjim beach is 29 km from Panaji. If you are opting for railway routes, from Thivim or Prernam Railway stations ( Railway stations of north Goa) Morjim can be reached through an auto or taxi.

MANDREM BEACH

Mandrem Beach offers privacy, yes, but there are a lot of activities too; which won’t let your brain to be bored. There are many things to try out, such as Dolphin spotting trips and Exploring Mandrem Village.

The Junas and Ashvem beaches (the subpart of Mandrem Beach) provide great swimming destinations due to its shallow waters and wide layout. There is one setting in Mandrem Beach that is unique. There are bamboo bridges spread alongside the water creeks. These creeks fill with the seawater during high tides. It thus makes a perfect romantic place for the couples to spend time together with their feet dipped in the water.The food in Mandrem won’t ever disappoint you. Food Joints like World cafe for fish, Oasis for north Indian foodie; totally delights your tongue.

~How to reach- Mandrem is 32 km from Panaji. You can take a taxi from the Panaji City, but that will cost you some more. There are bus services also available to Mandrem.

QUERIM BEACH

Also called Keri and Kerim beach, this is the northernmost beach of Goa. This beach will soothe your eyes, at any time of the day. This is an unexplored beach and show-offs a calm shore. The best scene that should not be missed is when the fishing boats line up on the beach. Every day, the boat line-up the beach at 6 pm and the way it mingles with the background are breathtaking. Quorum Beach is not safe for swimming as this beach has unstable waters.The current in the water has no direction because, this beach is formed by The Tiracoi River, meeting the Arabian Sea. Due to deep waters, Watersports and Paragliding options are available.

~How to Reach- this beach is 58 km north of Panaji.  This beach can be best reached through Arambol Beach.

ARAMBOL BEACH

Capital of the Hippie Culture in India, Arambol Beach is a 16 km long beach in the north of Goa. This is not a crowded beach and can be your destination if you are planning a budget vacation. It is a safe beach too because the water here is shallow and there are lot of coast guards those guard the beach. Amarillo offers a Traditional fisherman feel too to its tourists. This Bohemian kind of environment offers one of the best beach experiences in India. The main attraction in Arambol is the Sweetwater lake i.e. Kalacha. It is a lake fed by hot springs and lined by sulfurous mud. Taking a mud bath into it is also preferred by people as it is good for the skin. A famous artist here created his masterpiece i.e. A Banyan tree with a Stone sculpture which is a tourist attraction too. The Glastonbury Street that is near the Arambol is a street full of boutiques selling bizarre and wonderful knick-knacks to the buyers. The products available here are unique. It also provides good paragliding and kite surfing facilities.

~How to Reach – It is 50 kms north to Panaji. From the diabolic airport, Arambol is approximately a 2 hours’ drive. Taking buses can be a good option too as many buses from Mapusa is available to Arambol. The nearest bus stand is 2 kms from the main beach.

CANDOLIM BEACH

One of the laid back beaches of north Goa, Candolim has a long seashore and serene environment.  The scrub-covered sand dunes of Candolim are very calm. There is ‘Dive Goa’ activity organized in Candolim, which will entertain you and keep you busy. The best attraction of Candolin during Decembers is SUNBURN FESTIVAL which is hosted every December.

With only around 60 houses and not a home of many people Betul beach is very clean and it’s beauty unadulterated by human intervention.

BUTTERFLY BEACH

Yes! This beach is the home to many different families of a butterfly. Butterfly beach is one of the most serene, pure and unexplored beaches of Goa. The fact that makes it more unreachable is its bad connectivity to the main routes. It can trek but, the path is very difficult. So the only option left is to take a boat from Agonda Beach. This beach has its own charm. You can spot fishes, crabs, and dolphins in the shallow waters of butterfly beach. The best times of the day at this place are the early mornings. You can watch Sea Urchins, Sea Cucumbers and Crabs on the shore; peaceful in their own niche. Things to experience once in a lifetime are the sunrise and sunset of Butterfly Beach. Yes, you will absolutely love to come back here again.

~How to Reach- It is 39 km from Margao. Can be reached only by boat from Agonda beach.

AGONDA BEACH

Keep your devices aside and just get lost in the beauty of this place. Agonda Beach is also home to Olive Ridley to lay eggs. There are not many stalls because it is not that popular.

~How to reach – Agonda is 37 kms from Margao and about 15 kms from Palolem. It has a great connectivity through roads.
